it is located next to Torre del oro and Plaza de toros( gold tower and bullring).infront of the Guadalquivir river, being considered one of the best theaters of Spain.
it was built in 1987 and opened on 2 may 1992.
the main room has a cilindrical shape with a capacity for 1800 spectators,it is distributed in the stalls, two terraces, a balcony and paradise.the theatre offers different shows, opera, classical concerts and recitals, flamenco, ballet and zarzuelas.
the theatre contains rooms of experimental theater, exhibitions, conferences and cultural research center. Maestranza's theatre is home to the Royal Seville Camera wich develops here an intense concert season.
